3. User Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 18 years old in some countries like India & China) to use Synoppy.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: - Use Synoppy for illegal, harmful, or deceptive activities. - Violate intellectual property rights. - Interfere with Synoppy's security or services. - Attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit our AI models.
5. Data Collection & AI Model Training
Synoppy only collects user-generated summaries, which are stored temporarily for AI model training. No personally identifiable information is stored. We collect: - Summaries Created by Users: Used for improving AI-generated summaries. - Basic Account Data (Only if provided): Email, subscription status. - No Sensitive Data: We do not store personal messages, browsing history, or raw inputs. - Anonymization: All data used for AI training is anonymized.
7. User-Generated Content
By submitting content (e.g., summaries), you grant Synoppy a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use your submissions only for AI training, ensuring anonymity.
8. Global Compliance (Your Rights)
We comply with global data protection laws. You have rights under different laws: - EU (GDPR): Access, correct, delete, restrict processing, data portability. - US (CCPA, California): Right to opt-out of data selling, request data access. - Canada (PIPEDA): Right to access, correct, delete personal data. - Brazil (LGPD): Right to revoke consent, access processing details. - India (DPDPB): Right to request data deletion, limit processing. - Australia (Privacy Act 1988): Right to access and control personal data. - South Africa (POPIA): Right to request data removal and transparency. - Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines (PDPA): Rights over personal data processing. - Japan (APPI): Right to request data disclosure and limit use. - China (PIPL): Strict control over personal data transfers outside China. - UAE Data Protection Law: Protection against misuse of data in UAE. - New Zealand Privacy Act: Right to request personal data copies and deletion. 9. Data Retention & Deletion Policy
Synoppy only retains summaries for AI training. If you delete your account, all associated summaries will be erased permanently.
10. Cross-Border Data Transfers
Your data may be stored outside your country. We ensure all international transfers comply with data protection laws.
11. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and analytics tools for performance tracking. You can manage your cookie preferences in browser settings.
12. Privacy for Children
Synoppy does not collect data from children under 13 years old (US, EU) or 18 years old (India, China). If you believe a child’s data has been collected, contact us for immediate removal.
13. Legal Disclosures & Law Enforcement
Synoppy does not share personal data unless legally required. - We only comply with valid legal requests. - Data is never shared for advertising or commercial purposes.
15. Termination & Account Suspension
Synoppy reserves the right to terminate accounts that violate our policies. Users found engaging in misconduct, fraud, or illegal activities will have their access revoked immediately.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Use periodically. Any major updates will be communicated via email or app notifications. Your continued use of Synoppy after updates means you accept the new terms.
